ROGER FERRER, the Cosmic Studio director,brings us BLOCK, a new washbasin and furniture collection which is defined by its contemporary design based on simplicity and perfect use of space.
How would you define the BLOCK collection?
The formal language which defines this collection is ruled by its basic premises: straight lines and very compact volumes. With BLOCK we propose simplicity to satisfy the basic quotidian uses: getting washed, keeping objects and looking in the mirror, through an attractive and current look. Simplicity is enriched with a range of different environments and shows a great use of space.
Conventionality and Functionality
Even though we have wanted to be strictly functional, basing ourselves on cubical and very simple shapes, we have taken great care on the esthetics. A perfect balance between the sobriety of the collection and the colourful sketches of the furniture has been achieved.
What does this collection contribute?
At Cosmic we are always alert about detecting market needs and introducing new articles which improve and give solutions to the bath environment. Unlike other similar products in the market, BLOCK combines modernity with a very functional design. Actually, we have maximized the storage capacity projecting a line of furniture which despite big outer dimensions can fit in small spaces and at the same time have a great inner room. To strengthen this aspect, for example, we have designed a washbasin with a special trap situated in the back part of the cabinet which makes it invisible and allows making the most of the furniture underneath.
The BLOCK furniture collection is really complete...
The BLOCK furniture consists of washbasins incorporated in a cabinet, additional cabinets and mirrors with or without light. The washbasins are made of Bathstone, and the cabinets are available in 6 colors: white, black, ruby, mustard, green and olive grey. Furthermore, there are three different types of mirrors : the simple mirror, the mirror with an incorporated exterior light and the mirror with an interior fluorescent light. All these mirrors have adjustable points of support which allow them to be hung either vertically or horizontally.
Once again, a careful design that takes details into account...
We have introduced a slide rail system with an automatic closing and a brake which provides softness and avoids hits when the drawer is closed. We must highlight the high equality of the raw material, and the use of structures and front parts made with a double-face waterproof MDF plywood with a non-yellowing varnish 520gr/m2 thick which in divided into three layers. We can confirm that this collection is an improvement in assembly, material, fittings, etc. which leads to the achievement of excellent quality.
